Verona, Soli: "Everyone really gave their best for the team"

“We managed to play the first part of the match better than perhaps we expected, gaining an early advantage and managing it well while constantly showing good volleyball quality,” explained Itas Trentino coach Fabio Soli after the match. “Our serving intensity didn’t give Verona any breathing room, but despite that, they kept high percentages at the net. It was then the aces and our spikes that made the difference, especially in the third set when Verona fought hard in a close battle. After two sets like that, however, we had something extra mentally and we were able to respond blow for blow, handling moments with calmness that in the past might have caused us to lose patience. We value this performance and this win because today everyone really gave their best for the team.”
Itas Trentino’s next official match will be in six days: on Saturday, February 8, at the IlT Arena at 8:30 PM (live on RAI Sport), when they will face another top-ranked team, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, in the 19th round of the SuperLega Credem Banca regular season.
