SuperLega, the first 2025 home match was difficult but successful

The first 2025 official match at the ilT quotidiano Arena gave Itas Trentino team an arduous but important victory at the tie break, useful to continue to nurture their hopes for first place in the standings, just on the eve of the week leading up to the Coppa Italia Final Four in Bologna.
This evening in front of their own home public, last time on 29th December (3-0 against Cisterna in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals), the European Champions overcame Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina 3-2 in the match valid for the seventeenth round of the Credem Banca SuperLega regular season. The result could have been even better if the hosts had tried to manage the promising three-point lead (21-18) at the end of the fourth set, which ended in a comeback in the hands of the Marche players, who were able to confirm their excellent game even without their starting setter Zhukouski (out at the end due to abductor problems).
After a fast start, with a first set won by a clear margin thanks to attack and blocks, Itas Trentino had to put up a long fight against the newly-promoted Yuasa, who worked very hard with serve and attack, deserving to change the standings. Soli's team could not count on a very incisive service (only two aces) and therefore relied once again on the quality of its blocks (17 winning, nine of them by Bartha) and attack, a fundamental in which Michieletto once again shone. With 27 personal points, the result of 65% at the net and three blocks, Alessandro brought the team first to 2-1 and then to 3-2, amply deserving the mvp award of a match that also saw Rychlicki (17 with 48%, two blocks and an ace), Lavia (13) and the Romanian middle blocker (13) go together in the hosts' half.

Below is the score sheet for the match played this evening, part of the seventeenth round of the 2024/25 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season at the ilT Quodidiano Arena in Trento.
