SuperLega rehearsal this weekend in Montichiari

The upcoming weekend will be a rehearsal of the official start of the 2024/25 season for Itas Trentino. On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September, the European Champions will be in Montichiari (in the province of Brescia) to play the ‘Trofeo Ferramenta Astori’, in which Rana Verona, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza and Valsa Group Modena will also participate.
The ‘Canarini’ will challenge the team coached by Fabio Soli during the second semifinal on Saturday at 8 p.m. at PalaGeorge (the first one will be played at 5 p.m. and will involve the other two teams). For the occasion, Itas Trentino will be back on court with a full roster, as happened on Wednesday night in Schio's 3-1 win over Piacenza, and will take full advantage of the double commitment (the finals for 3rd and 1st place are scheduled for Sunday) to improve their game mechanisms and acquire match rhythm, as the Trentino coach himself explains. “We are looking for game volume and intensity, and the games that await us this weekend will certainly help us achieve this goal - he said - . We will face very competitive opponents, and at a good point in their preparation: we get to take stock the situation and take advantage of the indications that will emerge to better design the following week of work that will lead us to the Supercoppa Final Four in Florence. Although we are not yet brilliant, we have seen a progressive growth of our game during the friendlies played in this period; we must continue in this direction, demanding more and more from ourselves”.
On the other side of the net Sbertoli and his teammates will find opponents who have already played a good number of test matches: Modena has played four of them, the last of which was on Wednesday evening in Milan (2-2), where they showed off De Cecco's direction and his already good chemistry with the new high ball trio of Buchegger, Gutierrez and Ikhbayri; Verona won a quadrangular in Poland last weekend, defeating Kedzierzyn Kozle in the semifinals in the tie break, while Piacenza is back from the four sets played with the yellow-blacks at PalaRomare.
The match is particularly eagerly awaited; the pre-sale of tickets to access the PalaGeorge in Montichiari over the weekend is in fact proceeding at full speed.
