In Rovereto Itas Trentino puts on a show in front of over a thousand spectators

The first 38 days of pre-season preparation for Itas Trentino men's team end with a convincing victory over Innsbruck in Rovereto. The first away match of the season gave the European Champions a 3-1 victory over the Austrians of Hypo Tirol in the friendly match under the sign of solidarity played this evening at the Palazzetto dello Sport in the City of Quercia. The more than one thousand spectators who came to see the match made it possible to raise a substantial sum, which will be entirely donated to the families of children suffering from oncohematological diseases being treated at the Trento Hospital. At the same time, they were also able to admire a good performance by the yellow-blue team, who, after a first set, appeared to be on the ball and with all their players.
The many weeks of sustained work without a real match have evidently charged Soli's team, which, having warmed up its engines, from the second partial showed an effective and spectacular volleyball that left no way out for an opponent further ahead in its preparation (in about ten days it will play the Champions League preliminaries). Lacking only Flavio Gualberto and Bristot (in the group since Monday), the Trentino coach was able to rotate his entire squad, finding good responses especially from those who had done the entire preparation, such as Magalini (best scorer of the match with 17 points, 48% in attack, four aces and a block), the Romanian middle blocker Bartha and the opposite player Rychlicki, the only three players in double figures. Michieletto (9 points with 58% at the net), Gabi Garcia (9 with 60%), and Pellacani (7 with 86% in the first half) also stood out in the latter part of the match.
“In the first set we moved badly and deserved to go down 0-1, then we levelled up our game - explained coach Fabio Soli at the end of the match - . We couldn't be perfect, but in the imperfect situations we were able to settle in, playing the best volleyball possible at this specific moment. I'm happy that those who came in during the game were able to offer their contribution; we saw some things that we are working on, and this is an important aspect that I had insisted on with the team on the eve of the match”.

Below is the scoreboard of the friendly match played this evening at the Palazzetto dello Sport ‘Angelo Marchetti’ in Rovereto.
