Sbertoli in the group: "Azzurri summer was challenging but full of useful insights"

“Today I begin my new season with Trentino Volley with a lot of charge and motivation - were the first statements made today by Itas Trentino men's setter Riccardo Sbertoli - ; after the Paris Olympics we had time to rest both physically and mentally. It was a demanding but very useful summer in Italy, it left me with a lot of ideas to reflect on in order to approach the new experience with the yellow-blue jersey in the best possible way. We will start from a good base of the group that was there in the previous year and this will be an advantage, not only for me, but for everyone because some mechanisms will already be oiled. Above all I'm curious to get to know my new teammates and to build a good understanding with them; three of the four middle blockers have changed and so in this first period I'll be looking for the best ball for all of them, in particular with Bartha and Pellacani, whom I know less. Against Flavio I have already played several times and I know him more”.
“We want to get to the Supercoppa Final Four at the end of September in Florence having already built up a precise idea of our game - he concluded - . Over the next few weeks, we will work hard, individually and as a group, to get to that appointment in the best possible way”.
